The Social Security (Contributions) Regulations 2001 (SI 2001/1004), reg. 4, 9 are amended with effect from 14 November 2010 to reflect the introduction of additional statutory paternity pay and the renaming of statutory paternity pay as ordinary statutory maternity pay.

Additional statutory paternity pay is introduced in relation to babies due on or after 3 April 2011 and children matched for adoption on or after that date.
