At the time of the Emergency Budget on 22 June 2010, the Government published a document entitled 'Tax Policy Making: A New Approach'. The document included a commitment to consult informally as to whether a general anti avoidance rule is appropriate for the UK. As part of this process, HMRC are are running a workshop between 10.00 and 13.00 on 2 September 2010 at 100 Parliament Street, London SW1A 2BQ to explore some of the issues that have come to light in informal discussions to date.
