In his Emergency Budget in June 2010, the Chancellor announced plans to introduce a regional employer NIC holiday scheme. HMRC have now published a technical note explaining how the scheme will operate. The scheme includes draft clauses and explanatory notes.
The scheme will start on 6 September 2010. Prior to the start date, HMRC will publish guidance for new businesses, together with an application form.
